WhatsApp QR code generator. Scan, chat, done.
A scannable code that opens a chat with your number, prefilled message included. Generated in your browser, free to print anywhere.
Just need the link? WhatsApp link generator
Print it where your customers already are. Offline attention, online conversation.
Packaging and inserts
A scan on the unboxing card starts a chat: reviews, reorders, and support in one place.
Storefronts and counters
Walk-ins become contacts you can actually reach again.
Menus, flyers, visiting cards
Anywhere print goes, the chat is one scan away.
A QR code fills your inbox; Wapflow keeps it answered. An AI agent handles the first reply and your team runs the rest from a shared inbox. Shipping physical products? The unboxing insert is the classic placement — WhatsApp for D2C brands covers what happens after the scan.
WhatsApp QR codes, explained.
What does the QR code contain?
A standard wa.me click-to-chat link for your number, with your prefilled message if you added one. Any phone camera opens it straight into WhatsApp. wa.me is WhatsApp’s official click-to-chat format, so scanning starts the chat without the person saving your contact first. The QR is simply that link rendered as a code: what a tap does on a website, a scan does on a flyer.
Does the QR code expire?
No. It encodes a plain link, so it works as long as your number is on WhatsApp. Print it once and forget it. There is no account behind it and nothing hosted on our side; the code is just your wa.me link drawn as pixels. If you move to a new number, generate a fresh code, because old prints keep pointing at the old one.
Can I change the prefilled message later?
The message is baked into the code, so changing it means generating a new QR. Generating takes seconds and is free, so make one per campaign if you like. A different message per placement also tells you where the customer scanned: the store counter can open with one line, the packaging insert with another, and the first message in your inbox says which.
What size should I print it?
The download is a sharp 1024 pixel PNG, comfortable from business-card size up to poster size. Keep some white space around it and test a scan before the print run. The rule of thumb is distance: a code read from a hand’s length, like a menu, can be small, while a poster scanned from across a room needs to be much larger. A busy background behind the code is the most common reason scans fail.
Is this free?
Yes, free and no signup. The code is generated in your browser; your number never touches a server. Nothing is stored and the PNG carries no watermark. We build free tools like this because businesses that start conversations on WhatsApp eventually need help answering them, and that is what Wapflow is for.
